Support Engineer I

This is a hands-on B2B support role for ITSG readers who want to deepen their networking and security troubleshooting experience while helping customers run ExtraHop appliances and integrations. The team is remote-first around Dallas, with limited in-office meetings and an 11 a.m.–8 p.m. Central schedule.
**What you would work on:**
- Troubleshoot product issues and analyze systems using internal documentation and resources.
- Help customers configure network infrastructure, virtualization, hardware, firmware, and third-party integrations.
- Own ticket updates and customer communication, escalating complex issues when needed.
- Contribute to Knowledge Centered Services and collaborate with experienced engineers.
**Good fit if:**
- You have at least two years of B2B technical support experience.
- You understand the OSI model plus routing and switching concepts.
- You are strong at customer service, documentation, and organized troubleshooting.
- Linux/Unix, cybersecurity knowledge, JavaScript familiarity, or Network+/Security+ are useful extras.
