Staff Platform Engineer

Wurl is hiring a senior platform specialist to lead the infrastructure behind its high-throughput streaming and ad-serving systems. This is a strong fit for experienced IT Support Group readers working in platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or production operations. What you would work on: - Architect reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns for AWS EKS with CDK or Terraform. - Build multi-environment GitOps workflows and resilient CI/CD pipelines. - Improve platform observability with Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing, SLOs, and capacity models. - Lead production incident response, postmortems, reliability reviews, autoscaling, and cost optimization. - Strengthen cloud security across IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and zero-trust practices. Good fit if: - You have operated high-throughput distributed systems in a platform, SRE, or DevOps role. - You have deep Kubernetes experience and hands-on knowledge of EKS, infrastructure as code, GitOps, and CI/CD. - You can automate systems with Go, Python, or TypeScript and work with AWS networking. - You have designed monitoring and alerting pipelines and can mentor engineers through operational work.
