This remote senior security role is a strong match for IT Support Group readers who have moved into governance, risk, compliance, and hands-on security work in federal or regulated environments. You would help Lumen maintain secure managed-services systems, support authorization work, and coordinate remediation across engineering and operations teams.
**What you would work on:**
- Support the NIST Risk Management Framework lifecycle, assessment readiness, authorization, and continuous monitoring.
- Maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, control evidence, implementation narratives, and other authorization artifacts.
- Review vulnerability and audit data, track remediation, and identify security or compliance gaps.
- Coordinate security-control implementation with engineering, operations, program teams, assessors, and customers.
**Good fit if:**
- You have at least three years of relevant cybersecurity, information-assurance, or GRC experience.
- You have worked with NIST SP 800-37/SP 800-53 and federal authorization processes such as FedRAMP or FISMA.
- You can communicate risks and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You are a US citizen and can meet GSA public-trust suitability requirements; Security+, CGRC, CAP, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, or CISM credentials are helpful.
