Security Infrastructure Engineer
This Tailscale role is a good ITSG match for security-minded infrastructure engineers: it sits at the intersection of cloud platforms, networks, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and practical controls that keep production systems safe.
What you would work on:
- Design and build security controls across cloud platforms, operating systems, Kubernetes, networks, and CI/CD.
- Identify security and privacy improvements, bug fixes, and defense-in-depth opportunities across Tailscale systems.
- Audit infrastructure for technical security weaknesses, propose mitigations, and drive fixes toward resolution.
- Support engineering decisions with threat modeling, security analysis, and incident response focused on infrastructure containment and remediation.
Good fit if:
- You have cloud platform security experience, especially securing multi-cloud networks and infrastructure.
- You are familiar with container security, orchestration security, authentication/authorization, TLS, PKI, DNS security, and networking protocols.
- You can write software in at least one language and use infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform or Ansible.
