DevSecOps Project Lead (Sr DevSecOps Engineer)
DEFCON AI
This senior, hands-on DevSecOps lead role is a strong fit for IT Support Group readers who build secure cloud platforms, delivery pipelines, and production infrastructure in regulated environments. You would own both architecture decisions and implementation for an AI-enabled program operating in a government cloud environment.
What you would work on:
- Build and operate an end-to-end CI/CD pipeline with security analysis, software composition analysis, container and infrastructure-as-code scanning, SBOM generation, and gated production promotion.
- Establish development, test, and production environments in AWS GovCloud at IL-5 using portable infrastructure-as-code templates.
- Design container, network, identity, hardened-image, observability, rollback, and zero-downtime deployment approaches.
- Produce continuous authorization evidence and security artifacts, and work with customer security and accreditation staff.
- Lead a small group of platform, cloud, cyber, and DevOps engineers while remaining hands-on.
Good fit if:
- You have 8+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps experience and have owned a production pipeline end to end at scale.
- You have federal or defense cloud experience at IL-4/IL-5 or in an equivalent authorized environment; AWS GovCloud is strongly preferred.
- You are experienced with containers, Kubernetes or equivalent orchestration, Terraform/CloudFormation or similar IaC, CI/CD tooling, and production observability.
- You have supported an ATO, cATO, or equivalent authorization and can build security evidence into delivery workflows.
- You are a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Secret clearance and can travel up to 25%.
